Are you too busy looking for a king, a leader, instead of looking to God? What can a king do for you that God can't? What will a king do to you that God won't? Are you prepared for the consequences of your actions? Are you aware of what you are really asking for? What a king will do to you - he would take from you and give to others. He will make you slaves. A king will have you to work exceedingly hard and obtain none of the benefits for yourself. He will take away what you have created. He will take portions of everything you own, for his own profit. What is your motivation for wanting a king? To provide guidance, create confidence, build morale - to fight your battles? Do you believe that if you give immense power to one person, they in turn will correct all corruption? Probably not! The more power one has, the more tempted they are to abuse it. Most people will cheat if they can get away with it, and the more the get away with it, the bigger the appetite becomes for it. But there is a King, different from all others you have perceived - and He will do what they cannot! What God will do for you. 1) He gives and gives 2) He extends His love and compassion for eternity 3) He forgives 4) He provides- earthly needs, spiritual needs 5) He prays for us 6) He fills us with His Spirit 7) He frees us 8) He is coming for us Sadly, when faced with this truth, some will still refuse to do God's will. Some will still rather have a king. Then give them a king. Give them what they perceive - tall, strong, fearless, forceful - selfish, arrogant, unyielding and unwilling to do what God called him to do. We must all at some point decide what and who we want to follow. We must all act on our own accord and do what is right and just, not just for ourselves, but for the greater good as well. We must at some point, become a king...kings who serve the one true king - Jesus Christ!
