Moore & more!

Everyone, everyday, celebrates a birth day.  Not just the day they were birthed, but those days they are born and reborn.  Whether this birth is a physical one or a spiritual one, it deserves recognition and celebration.

This series is a collection of all the Biblical verses represented by my physical birth date, that I have birthed into a new message for all of you.  There are 29 in all.  I will try and write a message each week for each one, in no particular order.

I hope you will enjoy.  Also, check out my other works at:   http://www.lcherylmoore.com

Disappointment is the feeling of dissatisfaction that follows the failure of expectations or hopes to manifest. Similar to regret, it differs in that a person feeling regret focuses primarily on the personal choices that contributed to a poor outcome, while a person feeling disappointment focuses on the outcome itself.

This ranks right up there with lying and deceit.....although they seem to all be entwined. It's definitely a feeling that's hard to forgive!  And if we do forgive someone, we often unconsciencely detach ourselves from them in an effort to not have to explain how deeply affected we are.  But remember, just because you are not saying it, does not mean you are not showing it.

Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "There can be no deep disappoinment where there is not deep love."

And if there is love, there is forgiveness...and you can let go and move on.

Disappointment is inevitable... but the misery is an option.

God tells you when you are ready to receive Him. This I know is true.
What I can't believe is my desire to accept and learn what He has to offer!

The day was baptism Sunday at church. I heard the minister recite a verse that I had always only heard at funerals, John 14:2-4. I totally got it! Not only did I get what it meant in a second sense, but how it pertained to me and how I felt my calling was! I used to have issues with people who just suddenly seemed to "find God" (and don't get me wrong, there are still pretenders) but, I know now that it is truly possible for him to annoint you all at once and for YOU to make a way for understanding what you have been given!

…2In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and welcome you into My presence, so that you also may be where I am. 4You know the way to the place where I am going.”…

There is room for everyone with God.  God told me not only where my place was, but what I should do when I got there.  He had already prepared it, readied it, equipped it and delivered it.  Once I got to that place of dwelling, or resting, He gave me everything I needed to furnish it, to supply and provide.  And even though I doubted myself, He believed in me and gave me strength, wisdom and guidance.  I knew the way...the path was clear and obvious.

God has laid the path for you to walk, and is directing your feet.

“Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history
Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new.
It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it?  Isaiah 43:17-19

You may have been broken but don't have to remain broken.

Use your brokenness as motivation to be all that God is telling you to be. Speak, walk and talk your prayers of expectation into life. Be who you say you are. Do what you say you will do. And those who dont buy into your vision, they are destined to be a part of your past story.

Surround yourself with dream and esteem builders. Most importantly, believe in you by loving you, then...do you, with Godliness, assuredness and confidence.

Stay Encouraged!

[In memory of Gabriel M. Taylor, IV  July 2016]

I ignored it when You showed me the word "READY"
on magazines and license plates.

I ignored You when everytime I accidently touched
the remote, and a TV worship show came on.

I ignored You when you kept making me notice
churches in my area, until I finally walked into one.

I tried to ignore You when this baldheaded preacher
I had never met, began telling my story and revealing
my inner feelings.

I still tried to ignore You when the congregation
welcomed me and loved me, without me realizing I
loved them already as well.

I even still ignored it when I heard the sermon of the
faith a young boy had in his father, who said he would
never let him fall, and that he'd be there to catch him
if he did - so.....JUMP!

I could no longer ignore it when every day for a week
it was all I could think or hear....JUMP!

I knew it could not be ignored when Joyce Meyer said,
"When God show you a sign, don't wait around for verification"
Or when Steve Harvey said,
"In order for you parachute to open, you got to JUMP"

Jump. Jump!  JUMP!  Jump into your salvation!

Philippians 1:9–11
9 And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, 10 so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

In a garden of weeds and madness
And lost in my own sadness
But through all my grief and misery
G
od already had his plan for me
When I threw up my hands despairingly
He whispered in my ear,
“Now you listen to me,
I planted a seed in you
A long time ago

I nurtured and refreshed it,
And I’ve been watching it grow.
Now the season has come

And these fruits you can sow.”

He said, “The gift of anointing and

the Gift of receiving and giving the word

Will be your shield of faith and your Spiritual sword.”

And from that day to this

I’ve embarked on a course

That my thoughts and words be heard
Without fear or remorse

And others have come to share

their joys and their pains

And He gives me the answers

So I won’t complain

My answers and confirmation

Comes from all of those

Excited to hear my next

Oration of prose

What this will become
only God can know

I am a seed He planted

A long time ago.

Psalm 23

New International Version

A psalm of David.

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
    he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
    for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
    through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
    for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
    my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
    forever.
